Monday nights

Monday is quite the day for me. I have to get up, get ready for my day, and get all my school done by lunch.(because it is a half day) Then, I am the "transportation lady". Taking children to and from basketball practices and part time jobs is a regular occurence on this busy day. After I transport the children, all of the kids and I take care of Lilibeth, my niece, while her mother and father go out for a couple hours on a date. So, as you can see, mondays are never dull for me. What do you do on your monday? Is in mundane, or filled with excitement?
My cute niece, Lilibeth.

It was for freedom that Christ has set us free

For several years one of my biggest struggles has been fear. It has tormented me day in and day out to the point I sometimes would have to listen to scriptures on fear, as I sleep, to be at peace. But, even then, my freedom didn't come. I wasn't living the words, "Fear not". I was simply trying to put a bandaid on my fear. However, as of a couple days ago, I truly believe God has redeemed my life from this oppression. I feel more free than I have for a long time. Hallelujah! I believe this song exemplifies how I feel.

I just heard this song, and I really like it.

Prayer

God, let me see your glory today. I am desperate for you like never before. I want to be used by You. Take every part of me that is unholy and replace it with holiness! I LOVE YOU!
Let my heart reflect Matthew 5:8 - Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.

Lucas, Seth, and Nathan in "The Remnant"

A poem I wrote a long time ago (school project)

The majestic woods

The woods so deep with flowers there,
they bloom as the noon day sun
they travel on the wings of the dawn
They sour in the dreams of the weak
The poison ivy that lay around the trees
that are frightful and bare with no care
of the traveler around their stems
The streams so strong of the smell of summer
That carry away the noon day rays
of the one who is to come
through the trees and through the waves
The leaves that rustle in the wind
That share the breeze of the trees
bring forth their song and dance
with the cool air from the stream.

Josiah's funny tale

So, I have a funny story to tell. The other day my brother, Josiah, was in the bathroom taking a long time, like he normally does, when he called mom to come help him. On her way in there he was calling, "Mom, hurry my foot is asleep". Now, Josiah is one of those little kids who always finds the right words to say. Even though he is four he is really smart. Anyways, mom goes in to help him with what he needs and then he says, "It feels like the floor is spiky". We all started cracking up realizing that he was trying to describe the hurt slash tickle feeling of a foot that is asleep.

Pray against SB136 (Senate Bill 136)

Just got back from Kansas City about 2 hours ago. It was not the best trip ever, so I am glad to be back. However, tommorrow we are going on the road again. Mom and myself all the way down to Lydia have to go to Springfield. There is a very bad law that a democratic senator is trying to pass to make all homeschoolers register with the state. The first hearing is tommorrow and HSLDA is telling all homeschoolers to come as a protest. So, I guess I am going to be a protestor tommorrow. Anyways, my mother is very concerned about this bill because it is potentially the worst threat against homeschoolers in the state of Illinois. Please be praying because the republican senator, that would normally be very conservative, may vote for the bill. I may be a little bit confusing but know this, we need to pray!

Clothes

These are the Jeans and dress I bought at Macy's. Sorry I made them sideways.

What is my deal?

Kind of emotional right now because I am leaving tommorrow morning to go to Kansas city for Aquire the Fire. Actually Hannah, Mom, Lydia, Josiah, Kalyn, and I going so you might be asking why I am feeling this way. Well, I guess it is because I am a "home sweet home" sort of person. Anyways, I know it will be fun so I am not going to worry about missing my bed or anything. I always think to myself that when I finally move out of this house I am probably going to have an emotional breakdown. I mean even when I am going somewhere for one night, I cry myself to sleep because I miss my family and want to go home. I know it's crazy, but people who know me can relate. My brother Lucas, to the right, actually has a joke about me that I sit home and stuff bears all the time. He is referring to how much I stay at home and how I always claim I have so much to do when I am always just making excuses to stay home. Yes, I will accept your prayers. I AM CRAZY!!!!

Feelings of accomplishment

Today was a fulfilling day. I thought it would be a day that I would get nothing done. But, no! On the contrary! I actually accomplished quite a bit. I did my school, worked at Dad's office, and caught some amazing sales at Macy's tonight, which is the main reason for this blog post. It was their one day sale today and I happened upon it at the perfect time. I bought a pair of darker grey or blackish jeans for $4.99, another pair of really nice jeans for $10.00, and a really cute dress to wear with my skinny jeans for $4.99. However, what was really amazing today, was that I actually got up almost on time this morning. I have really been kind of lazy lately so it really was a thrill for me.

My brother and sister

This is Lucas -  my older brother, Hannah - my younger sister, and Me (on the right). I put this picture on my blog (sorry it is small) just to say how amazing my brother and sister are. Lucas is an incredible runner, even though he won't admit it. Actually, he has a race today at 1:55. I am confident God is using his running to pave the way for him to share the gospel with those around him.

Hannah is one of those people that is always positive. She always finds the good out of life. It is truly amazing to see how even when she goes through some hard things, it doesn't keep her down. Also, she loves people. At DC cafe(which is a meal we serve and small worship service we have at our church on Saturday nights) she is always ready to love the unlovable, just like Jesus.

I like how my hair is in this picture. However, this picture is a little old considering Adam and Ryan aren't in it and I have braces on.

Creepy! I am looking above the camera.(I was board and sweaty and nasty after reality)
