Be Born In Me

Mary didn't just say, "Ok, I will have the baby like you said I will" to the angel. She said, "May it be done to me as you have said." She had a heart that was pleasing to God. I am confident that is why she was chosen to carry Jesus. Though I am not Mary, I desire to have the heart of Mary. Always a yes person, always submissive, and always ready to serve. This song truly touched my heart. Today I say, "Jesus, be born in my heart. Make my heart your Bethlehem."

Classical Christmas Music

I really enjoyed this medley. It is some of my favorite classical pieces mixed with incredible Christmas music. I hope you enjoy it!

An Amazing Miracle

The class that has caused me so much undue stress and fear has come to an end. The dreaded math class. I took the final test last week, going into the test with an 82% overall. The final was going to be 20% of my grade. I was nervous, but confident. When I finished the test I thought that I had a good chance of passing. However, to my astonishment, I got an A in the class. Needless to say, there was much screaming and rejoicing in my house last Tuesday morning since there was no possible way I could have gotten an A. I have seen so many miracles happen during my first semester at John A. Logan College. I am praying for the same favor during the next round of classes. Especially since I am taking Anatomy and Physiology.

Tuck Everlasting Review

A few years ago I had to watch this movie for a school project. I thought that it was a sad movie. If you have seen it, then you know the plot line. The Tuck family drank water that caused them to become immortal. Then a girl named Winnie finds them living in the woods behind her house. She gets "kidnapped" by them so she will not tell their secret. She ends up falling in love with one of the son's, but she decides to stay mortal and not drink from the well that made the Tuck family live forever. I thought it very sad that she decided to live a normal life and not go with the Tuck's. Just my opinion. However, the soundtrack is beautiful. This is one track that I like.

Completely Frustrating

Have you ever had the experience of opening up a test only to realize that at least half of the problems you do not know? Today I had the most horrible experience with just that. Here I am a week before finals, and my last exam before my final I completely bomb. I have not received my grade yet, but I am farely sure I did very bad. The test was on a math course that I do not recommend. It is the weirdest math ever. Before going into this test, I had finally gotten my grade up to a low B. However, now I will not have a B, and all I am hoping for is to pass the class. I just have to keep convincing myself that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

P.S. - Don't take Math 113 if it is a choice at your college!
