The Special Friend

Have you ever met someone who has made a strong impression on you? Not the kind of person who you cross paths with in the hallway and then forget they exist, but the kind that are always on your mind? I'm talking about the type of person you don't meet regularly, so think hard!

This person is the one who always smiles when seeing you. The one who always encourages you when you have had a bad day. When you can't always find the right words to say, this person will wait in silence until you do. They don't seem to mind your funny quirks, and most of all, they like you to just be yourself.

It's fun to know someone like that. They are really a SPECIAL friend.

It Has Been FOREVER

I thought I would shake it up a little, and write a post since it has pretty much been FOREVER.
Summer break is quickly coming to an end, and I thought I would give an update on my life.

The past few months have been a  growing experience for me. With the help of Jesus, I have maintained a 4.0 GPA through my fourth semester at John A. Logan. I am super excited to be starting at Liberty University this coming fall. I know that God has placed me right where I am for such a time as this. I was thrilled to hear that all of my credits have transferred, so I am hoping to graduate in 2015 with an Associates in Music Education and a Bachelors in Special Education.

I am excited about teaching private music lessons this fall to both elementary and middle school children. I am aiming to start a full time private teaching business. I have also thoroughly enjoyed working as an administrative assistant at my Dad's Private CPA business, as well as working for Frontline Family Ministries.

I know that Jesus is leading my every step and even when I feel uncertainties about my life, He is right there encouraging me and telling me, "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." (Matthew 6:33)

My Composition

For many years I have been creating my own music, however, for the first time I actually composed a piece of music. I am excited about this new achievement because now I have the confidence to do more of it!

First (And Hopefully Final) Surgery Of My Life

I have been absent from the blogosphere for a while.  But today seemed like the best time to break the ice.  I just got out of oral surgery.  I had all four of my wisdom teeth taken out.  It was the craziest experience of my life.  One minute they were putting an IV in my hand, and the next minute I was drooping and thinking, "Is it going to be rude when I fall asleep and the nurse is standing right here?"  I felt like the procedure was one minute long.  All of a sudden someone said, "Its all over!"  I couldn't quite say, at that point, whether I was dreaming or really awake.  I remember thinking, "What, we just started".  However, as time went by I realized I wasn't quite mentally or physically sound.  I pulled my hand up to my face just to make sure I could feel it.  Fortunately, I was able to walk out of the doctor's office with just some slight help from the nurse.  I wanted to say thank you, but with my chipmunk cheeks and completely numb face I couldn't utter anything understandable.  So I just kept giving a thumbs up.

P.S. There won't be any pictures for this one :)
