A Prayer To Jesus
My heart breaks over the pain I see all around me. I feel so helpless in knowing how to help because I have to be able to protect myself from other peoples issues. Jesus, restore the pain in my generation and bring a new passion to people for morality and purity. I need your strength to get through the pain of seeing people fall away every day. Help me have a guard over my heart as I serve in ministry with my family. I know I am where I am supposed to be, so lead my steps even further. I love you!

February 20th
I really like this song and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. It is written by Steven Curtis Chapman and is a story about when his daughter asked Jesus into her heart only a few short days( or weeks) before her death in an accident.

Plans For My Future
Sorry for not blogging in such a long time. I have been busy with finishing up my school and planning for my future. I think I have finally decided what I am going to study after high school. However, there are still many parts of my future that are uncertain. I am planning on starting classes in the fall at John A. Logan (which is a junior college close by) and I am pretty sure I am going to get an administrative assistant degree (I can't remember the exact name of the degree but it is like business administration). I am also considering an internship after high school, but I have not fully decided if I would like to go or not. Please pray that the rest of my plans for this summer, and beyond, would be clear to me and that I wouldn't make my decisions in fear, but in faith.

I Have No Motivation To Do This Chemistry!!!
Have you ever put something off that you know you are eventually going to have to take care of. That is exactly what I am doing at this very moment. Even though the school year is wrapping up, I still don't have much of a motivation to work on my Chemistry. It is so difficult and every time I pick it up I feel completely overwhelmed. To make matters worse, there really isn't anyone who can help me except my brother Lucas, and he is always gone. Right now I am trying to decipher between acids and bases in chemical reactions and a bunch of other hard stuff. I need the grace to finish it up because I only have 14 days of school left and a module and a half left in my chemistry. (That doesn't include the two tests I have to take)

Parties and More Parties
Today it seemed like we were constantly hosting a party. First, we went to Grandma's house to eat after church, and then we came back to the house to host a party for Lucas's cross country and track team. When we were done with that party, Gram and Grandad came over for a mother's day party. A few weeks ago, when I was thinking about what I wanted to give my mother for Mothers Day, I decided I wanted it to be something creative. I made a card for her on Shutterfly and I also bought one of her favorite movies, "Yours Mine and Ours". I found out my mother liked the movie, but I didn't realize how much she loved it until she opened it. It wasn't long before Mom decided we should watch it tonight. Mom enjoyed reliving her childhood when she would watch that movie over and over again. Everyone else enjoyed seeing it for the first time. I am glad today was a big success!!

Our Trip To St. Louis
Yesterday evening several of my family members and I, plus one friend, went to St. Louis for a Cardinals game. The game started at 7:15 and we didn't leave for the game until about 5:45. But, there was a reck on the way to Nashville, Illinois, so that delayed our arrival even further. W didn't get to the game until the 4th inning. Because we had to scalp for our tickets, we didn't get inside the stadium until the 5th inning. When the game was over, we felt like it had just started. But, it was still a fun trip. I didn't pay much attention to the game, but talked instead. The trip home was the best part. Hannah and I were talking about old memories and telling stories to the people who were still awake. We arrived home just a little before midnight.

Exciting Summer Plans!
I am nineteen days away to finishing my junior year of high school. Whoopie!!!!!!! I can't wait to be on summer vacation, but even more so, I can't wait for our family vacation on June 5th when we will be going to the smoky mountains. It is always so exciting to get away just with my family. To add to the excitement of this trip, my birthday is on the 10th, so we will be celebrating it while we are gone. The day after we get back from the smoky trip, Tara, Hannah, Lydia, my grandmother, and I are going to Shipshewana, Indiana to tour Amish Country. I guess you could say I have quite a big summer coming up so I am extremely happy to be finishing the school year.
