A few years ago I had to watch this movie for a school project. I thought that it was a sad movie. If you have seen it, then you know the plot line. The Tuck family drank water that caused them to become immortal. Then a girl named Winnie finds them living in the woods behind her house. She gets "kidnapped" by them so she will not tell their secret. She ends up falling in love with one of the son's, but she decides to stay mortal and not drink from the well that made the Tuck family live forever. I thought it very sad that she decided to live a normal life and not go with the Tuck's. Just my opinion. However, the soundtrack is beautiful. This is one track that I like.

Completely Frustrating
Have you ever had the experience of opening up a test only to realize that at least half of the problems you do not know? Today I had the most horrible experience with just that. Here I am a week before finals, and my last exam before my final I completely bomb. I have not received my grade yet, but I am farely sure I did very bad. The test was on a math course that I do not recommend. It is the weirdest math ever. Before going into this test, I had finally gotten my grade up to a low B. However, now I will not have a B, and all I am hoping for is to pass the class. I just have to keep convincing myself that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
P.S. - Don't take Math 113 if it is a choice at your college!

The Stolen Money
My day started at 2:45 a.m. I decided I wanted to stand in line at shoe carnival to receive a ten dollar gift card. Micah, Hannah, and I arrived in line at 4:00. The store wasn't opening until 5:00 a.m. When the store opened, I was able to buy some tan boots for only twelve dollars. After shoe carnival we ate some breakfast and then went to Lifeway. It was horribly packed. There were at least one hundred people in the store. It was incredibly hectic, but I was able to buy one christmas present there. We went to a few other places and then headed to the mall. After finishing in Macy's me and a friend of mine went to JC Penney's. Those who know me will agree that I am a very forgetful person, at times. During this experience, my forgetfulness came back to bite me. I found a jacket that I wanted to try on, so I put down my purse to try it over my shirt. I ended up walking away leaving my very noticeable, zebra print purse on the floor. When I realized I left my purse somewhere I attempted to remain calm. After all, I had a lot of cash in it since it was black friday. However, someone turned in my purse, but when I was ready to checkout, my money was gone. I was fairly horrified because sixty dollars is a lot of money for me. My friend insisted upon buying the item for me and so I finally let her. However, the fishy part of this story is that the woman who said she turned in my purse to customer service was the same lady I had chatted with earlier in the same store. She didn't seem like the type of person to take money, but it had to of been either her, or the employee who took the purse from her. Even though it was very sad to loose my money, I know that I am going to have an increase because Jesus will always take care of me. I already was blessed with thirty dollars tonight!

You Are My Hero
Where would I be without You? I would be helpless and hopeless. You are the strength of my life. You have rescued me from the sin of my past, and the pain of my present. How can I ever thank You for what You have done? All I am is Yours! I want to dance with You! I want to eternally live with you in heaven. You are my king. I desire nothing, other than being next to You.

Do Not Worry - But Fear The Lord!
"I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more. But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after the killing of the body, has power to throw you into hell. Yes I tell you, fear him." Luke 12:4-5
We have nothing to fear. No matter what people say, and no matter what people do, we are in no real danger. The worst thing anyone could do to us is kill our bodies. But that only means eternal joy in heaven. We are free beings. However, it is vital we fear the Lord. He has the power to send us to hell. He is loving and merciful, but he justly punishes those who sin against Him.

Arms That Hold The Universe
Be encouraged as you listen to the words of this song that no matter what you have been through or what you will go through. Jesus Christ will always hold you in His arms. He will never let you go.

Not The Best Day Of My Life
It began ok, but as time went on, it got worse. I went to speech class at 12:00 P.M., and my instructor was not being fair at all. Our next speeches are due very soon, and they are supposed to be persuasive. But today in class she started going off on this tangent (pretty much threatening people) that if anyone uses a speech about abortion or anything "Problematic" in her terms, then we had better have some VERY convincing proof. She said this many times to the point where I wanted to raise my hand and say, "Teacher, I shouldn't have to cater to what you believe is right, that is not what a persuasive speech is!" I decided that it wouldn't do any good, so I just remained silent, inwardly laughing and arguing over her deragatory attitude. I know she needs Jesus, and my heart aches for the pain and suffering she will one day endure for the way she has openly accused and blasphemed Jesus Christ. All I want to do is find a way to bring life into my class, but every time I try, I get shot down. That is not the way it is supposed to be. I have already decided that I will not remain silent and watch America crumble. I don't care what it takes; I am determined to do my part! The only thing is that my flesh gets involved very easily. I know the battle is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities of this dark world.
Jesus, help me be a witness to You! I need Your strength. I know you see my heart!

He is my refuge
You have been my healer, my redeemer, and my refuge. You are my shepherd and strength. You never neglect me. I will trust You until the day I die, and I get to meet you face to face. I can't wait until I can crawl onto your lap, and you wipe away all of the tears from my eyes. I know you truly love me. I know because you have never left me. At the moment of my despair, You were by my side, holding me up. I felt your presence. I felt your touch. I am convinced that you are all I need.

Finally Done!!!!
I am finally done with an assignment that is due Thursday. I am completely worn out and ready for my bed. My assignment is to turn in 15 notecards for an 8 page paper that is due sometime in November. The good news is that I have already done my research for the topic and pretty much just have to write the paper now. I thought ahead and decided to give a speech on the same topic so that I'd only have to do the research once. Has anyone else had a completely draining day, or even last couple of hours? Tell me your story below! I would love to hear about it.

I Love You, Dad!
What word can best describe someone who is loving, kind, gentle, and encouraging more than “Dad” can. Maybe others are different, but my dad was there when I fell down and scraped my knee. He was there when late at night I would try to understand my math homework to no avail. With his trusty coin box, we stayed up counting money for hours. It was in those times spent with dad that has made me the way I am today. I will never forget the sacrifices he has made for me. Those late night kohl’s shopping trips when he would spend a few dollars to buy me something special when I know the money could go to something way more important. But, to him, his daughter was the “Important”. I can never ask for something or someone better than my very own dad. I love you, Dad!

He's My Son - Mark Schultz
Last Friday, Dad, Hannah, and I were able to go to a Mark Schultz concert in Marion, Illinois. I was so excited because it was the first time I had ever gotten to see him in concert. He performed one of my favorite songs - He's My Son.

Ray Comfort - New Video
A few minutes ago I watched this video and was amazed at how Ray Comfort persuaded these people to believe abortion is wrong. It is a little long, but you will feel like it went by in 5 minutes.
