It's A Girl!!!!

Today at 9:00 a.m. my sister Kalyn gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. Her name is Kyla Grace Waller. She weighed in at 8.27 pounds and is such a wonderful baby. Kalyn woke up at 4:30 a.m. and the baby was born only 4 and 1/2 hrs later. It was a very quick delivery and Kalyn and Kyla are both doing great. We expect them to leave the hospital tomorrow, and I am going to decorate their house in the morning for their arrival home. I am so thankful to Jesus that he helped Kalyn through labor and that she is now a wonderful mother.

Senior Pictures With A Beautiful Piano

I have a great opportunity to take my senior pictures with a beautiful piano. (It isn't a grand piano, like the one above, but it is still very picturesque) It was given to the church, but the tune is horrible on it, so I am going to use it for pictures and then retire it to the trash.

Victory!!

This morning I went to take the compass test at a community college near my home. I was nervous and trying to believe that I would do ok on the test. Last night I was up until 11:15 studying the problems that would be on the test and I was getting quite frustrated with myself. I didn't seem to understand the math problems that I should have remembered from years ago. However, last night I went to bed trusting that everything would be ok and that Jesus would take care of me. He sure did! I passed the test with flying colors and can now start signing up for classes in the fall. I am so thrilled!

Have Your Dreams Been Lost?

As life moves on and you grow up, it is easy to see childhood dreams as something that is unreachable. However, don't let go! Hold those dreams close to you no matter how distant they look at the time. I know, for me, I seem to have lost many of my dreams in the midst of trying to find a place for me to go to college and looking more towards my future. I almost feel helpless, like somehow I am not moving towards where I really want to go in life. Does anyone else go through those feelings? I am sure that most do, but I guess the best solution is to keep pushing forward, trusting that Almighty God will lead you in the right direction. I have decided I am going to trust in Jesus for whatever my future will hold. I know He has a plan. All anyone can do is trust that He has everything under control and that He will lead His children in the right direction for their future.

Watching and Waiting

My niece or nephew is due to make his/her appearance anytime. It will probably still be a couple weeks; however, since the babies due the 30th. Please be praying that the knew little one, in our family, will come forth at the right time and that my sister will be healthy throughout the rest of her pregnancy. She is almost completely ready now for the babies arrival. The clothes are washed, the babies nursery is almost ready (considering it's nursery will be mommy and daddies room for a while), and the carseat/stroller set has finally come in. All the pieces are coming together. Baby, please don't wait to much longer to meet your mommy, daddy, aunts, and uncles!

DC Cafe Nursery

Tonight was a great night of DC Cafe. I was working in the nursery with my mom as a mother/daughter team. It was quite interesting at times. Once one of the children had their finger in another ones mouth and I realized the poor child's finger was being bitten mercilessly. I quickly stepped in to help. My niece was the finger biting victim. The rest of the night went well other than some anger problems. Overall, I am grateful for the experience DC Cafe brings me. It stretches me to new arenas that are well needed in my life. Such as when I am in the nursery. It is not always easy to love the children who treat me with no respect, but I want to learn to love them anyway and be a light into their lives.
