A Special Person In My Life

Do you have a special person in your life that knows exactly the words to say at exactly the right moment? My mom is such a comfort to me. She can feel when I am struggling with anxiety or pain and seems to know exactly what to do to help. Thank you, God, for sending me to the perfect family!

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Lagging Behind

Do you ever feel like you cannot keep up with the pace of life? I have been in school for a month now, and it feels like it has gone by incredibly fast because of how busy I have been. Transporting, homework, late nights studying for exams, etc. I guess you can only take life one step at a time. Right now I am stepping towards my bed. Good night!

Love Comes Softly Theme

Whenever I hear the theme to Love Comes Softly, I immediately remember a time in my life when I was younger and I didn't have to carry so much of the weight of the world on my shoulders. I miss those days. I wish I could be young again. It is a comfort to know the Bible says that my youth is renewed like the eagles.
I hope you enjoy the music to this film like I have over the years.

The Joys Of Growing Up In A Big Family

This Monday, I am presenting a speech in my class about living in a big family and I wanted to share my intro with all of my blogging friends.

Imagine walking into your kitchen and your little brother is zooming cars across the floor. Then you walk into the dining area and your sister is singing at the top of her lungs, and then as you are walking through the hallway you here a beginner banging away at the piano and you just want to cover your ears. This is how my house is on a daily basis. Honestly, I am used to it, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Tomorrow I will try to post the best part of my speech. It was when my dad locked me out of the house when I was six (on accident) because he thought I was a robber.

The Cry Of My Heart

Jesus, You are all I need! When everything is crumbling around me, hold me up. Let me find You when I seek You with my whole heart. Help me to spread Your light and love where darkness prevails. I claim everywhere that the sole of my feet treads as Yours. Help me to be confident in every situation I find myself in today. I know that I am more than a conqueror. I want to be Yours Jesus. Show me the way! Help me to walk into your perfect plan for my life.

You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in You. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord, is the Rock eternal.        ~Isaiah 26:3-4~

The Inheritance

I know that I am continually talking about music and movies on my blog, but I have yet another movie to recommend. It is called The Inheritance which is based off of a book that Louisa May Alcott wrote. I enjoyed it very much and plan on buying it very soon. I am always on the lookout for good clean chick-flicks, so if you have any more to recommend, feel free to comment.

I just got done watching this movie with my mother and sister. I really enjoyed the great time we had and encourage all chick-flick lovers to watch it as well.

John A Logan Experience

On Monday, I started taking classes at our local junior college - John A. Logan. I am taking Speech 118, Mathematics 113 online, and Aural Skills. It has been a new experience for me since I have been homeschooled all my life. Let's just say, I am not quite used to hearing people say there is no absolute truth, and we need to be tolerant of what others believe and not try to make them believe in our religion because there is more than one right one. The first day, my head was almost hurting from the experience of going to a public schooling facility when I have never participated in one in my whole life. Don't get me wrong, I am really excited about this experience, but it definitely is going to take some getting used to. I am looking forward to my speeches when I will boldly tell the class that I am a Christian, and I do believe in an absolute truth, and I do believe there is only one right religion. There is a part of me that hopes I will endure some persecution, because then I will know I am on the right track.

Word Explosion

Last Sunday, our family left on a trip to Tulsa, Oklahoma for Word explosion. Word explosion is a week long conference at our home church where they bring in many different big speakers. It began very smoothly and everyone was having a great time. However, one by one the children all came down with bad colds. It turned into a very interesting trip that we are now ending strong. We are currently on our way home, thankful that we went for one main reason. We were blessed to be able to here Bill Winston speak on Monday night and Tuesday morning. However, there were other enjoyable parts of the trip, such as, when Lucas and I rented a redbox movie on the way there. It was a boring movie, but a fun bonding experience between my brother and I.

Happy Birthday Mom!

This was the best picture I could find to represent my mother. She is always there to hold and nurture. Loving and kind almost all of the time! Even though I am a couple of days late in saying it - Happy Birthday Mom!

P.S. The boy is her son - Josiah, and the baby is her grand daughter - Lilibeth

Accomplishments Of The Day

Today was one of those days that I felt like I truly accomplished something. A few of my accomplishments were: cleaning the kitchen, doing laundry, transporting children, and helping my sister grocery shop. I guess it makes me feel good when I am always busy. Sometimes it gets a little stressful, but it is when I push through the stress that I truly feel like I conquered the world. What were some of your accomplishments of the day?

P.S. Here are a few more pics of my niece, Kyla Grace Waller.
